Specialist in agricultural development and international cooperation, with extensive experience in Latin America. He has worked at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) since 1996. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions in rural development, technical cooperation, and international relations projects. He also has academic experience as an associate professor at Nagoya University and as a lecturer in rural development and market strategy programs for small and medium-sized farmers.

Graduated in Educational Psychology from the University of Tokyo, he began his career at NEC Corporation before working for 27 years at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), where he was involved in higher education, vocational training, social finance, and investment projects in developing countries, especially in Southeast Asia. Since 2022, he has been part of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, coordinating dialogue, exchange, and cooperation initiatives with South and Southeast Asian countries.
